We send our sincere congratulations to Ashley Williams of William Byrd Middle School for her achievements in teaching that led to her winning this year’s Golden Apple Award! The Golden Apple Award is the highest honor that can be presented to a teacher by the Roanoke Education Foundation. In addition, Williams will be Roanoke County Public School’s nominee for the Virginia Teacher of the Year Award. This year, Ashley won this honor from among 105 teachers who were nominated and 18 teachers were selected as semi-finalists.
