Family Promise of Greater Roanoke aims to empower homeless families with children to achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.
The main pillars of Family Promise are threefold:
Prevention and Diversion: Preventing families from becoming homeless in the first place with shelter diversion, rental assistance, and transportation programs.
Shelter: Providing children and their families with safety, shelter, food, basic needs, and assistance as they seek permanent housing.
Stability: ​Helping the families we serve not only succeed today but remain stable in their housing, financial capability, and career paths tomorrow.
