The Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries a powerful legacy, born from the tragic events of 9/11. Since that day, they have been steadfast in their mission to help America’s Heroes in profound ways. Their work includes providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
The impact of this organization is truly inspiring. Every step taken and every dollar raised at events like the 5K goes directly towards paying off the mortgages for the survivors of fallen First Responders and Gold Star Families. Additionally, Tunnel To Towers undertakes the crucial task of building homes specifically suited for the needs of disabled veterans and paying off their mortgages, ensuring they have a comfortable and accessible place to live.
Participating in the Tunnel to Towers 5K was a meaningful way for us to show our profound gratitude and respect for the incredible sacrifices made by our veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families. Their service and dedication are the bedrock of our communities, and we were humbled to be involved in an event that directly supports those who have given so much.
We were particularly proud to have a dedicated team of Southern Auto Group employees who laced up their running shoes and participated in the race!
