Thanks for making our First Team Subaru Pet Adoption Event a Huge Success!
Roanoke, VA: On Saturday, October 26th, 2019, First Team Subaru hosted our annual Pet Adoption Event in partnership with the Roanoke Valley SPCA. The RVSPCA brought six dogs and several kittens to the event…and we’re happy to say ALL SIX DOGS and two cats got new forever homes on Saturday! New pet owners received a new dog-owner kit that includes a welcome home guide, a toy, treats and wipes donated by Subaru. With well over 75 people in attendance, we are proud to say that with your help, this year’s pet adoption event was a complete success.
At the event were VCA Valley Animal Hospital Veterinarians, who were on-sight to answer questions about the health of and how to take care of new pets. Along with giveaways, everyone who adopted at the event on Saturday, received a free future exam including medicine (up to $250). We thank VCA Valley Animal Hospital for their generous donations.
Owner Beverly Amsler of The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care was on-hand to answer questions and offer services for new pet adopters. The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care is a full-service dog training, dog walking, and pet sitting company. All services are provided exclusively in the client’s home. We thanks Beverly for her time and contributions to this great event.
Also thank you to everyone at WFXR for being at the event with volunteers and giveaways, and for all the promotional support that helped to make this event a big success, including hosting potential adoption pets on the Living Local segment.
Pet Supply Drive:
Our Pet Supply Drive for the Roanoke Valley SPCA continues through October 31st. We’ve already collected hundreds of items from people like you, and we thank you very much for your donations! Items like beds, cleaning supplies, bags and bowls are always needed, so please tell your friends. Everyone who donates an item by October 31st will receive a Subaru Crosstrek Plush Pet Toy.
Everyone at First Team is honored and excited to have helped so many people find their new pet friends this weekend. Remember, if you missed the event, you can always go to the Roanoke Valley SPCA, as they always have a lot of pets that need forever homes. We thank you all again and look forward to next year’s event!
