A Heartfelt Hand: Southern Values Supporting Our Community Through Cancer Journeys

At Southern Values, we believe in standing by our community, especially during the toughest times. A cancer diagnosis can turn lives upside down, leaving individuals and families in desperate need of a helping hand. With a new diagnosis of leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma occurring every three minutes in the U.S., the journey to recovery is often long and arduous, marked by weakness, cold, and isolation.

That’s why we proudly highlight partnerships that embody the spirit of compassion and unwavering support. For a decade, Subaru and its dedicated retailers, including our own Southern Team Subaru, have championed the ‘Subaru Loves to Care’ initiative alongside The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

This June, Southern Team Subaru is teaming up with LLS and Roanoke Memorial Hospital to bring comfort and courage directly to cancer patients. We’re delivering more than just essentials; we’re sharing warmth with cozy blankets, soothing eye masks, comforting socks, refreshing water bottles, and gentle tissues. We’re also providing stress-relieving activities and, most importantly, heartfelt messages of hope penned by our employees and cherished customers. These small gestures carry immense power, reminding patients they are not alone.

Furthermore, our commitment extends to lightening the financial burden on families facing pediatric blood cancer. Through the LLS Urgent Need Pediatric and Young Adult Program, Southern Team Subaru is providing vital financial relief to 15 households. This crucial support helps cover non-medical expenses—like transportation, food, housing, and utilities—ensuring families can focus on what truly matters: their child’s recovery.

At Southern Values, we believe true community thrives when we uplift those in need, offering both practical aid and a beacon of hope. Join us in celebrating these impactful efforts that reflect the very heart of who we are.
