First Team Subaru, along with Subaru of America, Inc. and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), have partnered once again to send hope, love and warmth to patients fighting cancer. With the goal of donating more simple comforts to more patients year after year, First Team Subaru aims to achieve a new record in participation and donations during 2019 Subaru Loves to Care month in June.
Last year First Team Subaru and LLS delivered blankets, arts & crafts kits and message of hope cards to those fighting cancer. This year, First Team Subaru employees will be delivering blankets to Carilion Cancer patients on July 18th, and will also deliver Children’s Craft boxes to the Pediatric Cancer unit. Patients often going through cancer treatments are in cooler temperature rooms, so First Team Subaru delivered blankets to offer warmth and comfort. The blankets are high quality and co-branded with Subaru Loves to Care and LLS logos.
Research shows that 10% of blood cancer patients are children and First Team Subaru wanted to help ensure they enjoy their childhood even when sick. The arts & crafts kits included crayons, markers, paint, paper and more. Utilizing the arts and crafts kit, children can express hidden emotions and reduce anxiety, depression and even pain.
